RE: New Aluminum In-Line Magnetic Filters
ATP-Inc has introduced (8) new aluminum in-line magnetic filters that can be both beneficial for the technician as well as for the consumer. These new aluminum in-line magnetic filters are a quick and easy install for the technician and added insurance for the consumer after a major or minor rebuild of the automatic transmission and/or power steering unit.
Harmful metallic debris tends to get lodged within the hydraulic lines and cooler. If not flushed or remove correctly, this harmful debris releases itself during operating temperatures and pressures, allowing the debris to flow within the hydraulic unit. Eventually, this debris will cause damage to the rebuilt unit.
Additionally, these filters are very easy to install between the cooler and the cooler line. No tube cutting is required.
For those who only flush transmissions, the installation of the in-line filter (generally the lines are disconnected during the flushing procedure) provides additional “insurance” that there will not be a future problem or comeback.
