| YOU MIGHT NEED THIS! ATP-Inc. just released the M Five Alternate, Part No. AT-206. M Five Alternate allows the user to convert Dexron®III/Mercon® transmission fluid to a Mercon®V type fluid. In 1997, Ford Motor Company introduced Mercon®V automatic transmission fluid for use in 1997 and later A4LD-E (4R44E) and 5R55E transmissions. Mercon®V is now also required for 1998 vehicles equipped with the AX4N and AX4S transaxles and the AODE-W (4R70W) transmission. For 1998 Ford Windstars with AX4N and AX4S transaxles built before 9/8/97, use Mercon® fluid. For 1998 Ford Windstars built after 9/8/97, use Mercon®V fluid. No. AT-206 is a synthetic product which extends the frictional stability and life of the Dexron/Mercon fluid, similar to Mercon®V.
